My 27th Birthday Project

Hi friends!

In lieu of a birthday party or any gifts this year, I'm asking for friends, family, co-workers, church contacts, and YOU guys- my awesome readers- to join me in an effort to get 50 Bibles to the 410 Bridge communities  in Kenya by August 20th.

As many of you know, I served in Ngaamba, Kenya this past October with an amazing team from the 410 Bridge and Buckhead Church...and there were tons of people who were instrumental in helping me raise the necessary funds, which was more of a blessing than I can ever fully express. And while I'm not assuming that everyone on the list above is planning on buying me a birthday gift this year (promise!), I do know that many of you have played a BIG role in helping and encouraging me to give back to others. So I'm asking for your help again!

In short, it costs only $15 to send one Bible to Kenya, but that's more than a month's rent for some of the members of the more rural villages there. Less than 4% of the children in the 410 Bridge communities have access to a Bible of their own, and I'd like for us to be a part of changing that percentage by joining with this amazing organization to support their efforts.

My goal is for us to donate at least 50 Bibles by my 27th on August 20, 2012.
