Valentine's Day
Our Valentine's Day together was pretty simple. Lucy and I gave Pierce a giant card with Kit-Kat bars taped to it, and we got up early and surprised him with breakfast. Then we all took naps and, sometime around noon, decided to get dressed and head out to Shake Shack in Buckhead.
I was so excited to try Shake Shack because, for years, I'd heard so many good things about it (especially the crinkle fries). It was definitely good, but also? Incredibly overrated. Ann's Snack Shack here in Atlanta still has the best burger I've ever tasted. Period. And it really is a shack, a little hole-in-the-wall place. But we did get buy-one-get-one-free milkshakes yesterday, so that was pretty awesome.
Later in the evening, our close friends Lauren and Ray came over with their two little ones and Lucy was in heaven. We had dinner at the house and spent the rest of our night just talking like the old friends we are. I always love spending time with them because we met in 2004, during my sophomore year of college, and we've walked through so much of our adult lives together. Sitting on the couch, chatting while our babies play, never gets old for me.
I hope your Valentine's Day was wonderful!
