pretty pleats

Hi friends!

It's almost Saturday, which means it's still Friday and I'll be sleeping late tomorrow. And, I can promise you, I still don't think I've fully caught up on lost sleep from last weekend (in addition to the fact that I worked a 13-hour day yesterday...blech...) so a nice long date with my pillow sounds like heaven right about now.

Before I head off for bed, I want to share some of the cool things that have happened to me in the last few days:

1) I paid off my car! Woo-hoo! That's an extra $250 a month to go towards our house down payment in August. And speaking of the house...

2) ...we had our inspection, we have decided to move forward, and we are officially under contract with a closing date of August 17th! So excited!

3) I went to Plato's Closet during my lunch break this week and, for about 20 bucks I bought a pair of red velour ballet flats, a bauble statement necklace, a blue and gray striped tank, and a black, maxi pleated skirt. And since I don't like to delay gratification when it comes to clothing (and casual Friday means nothing to me), I wore said new clothes to work today. 

As always, you have Chelsea to thank for the cutest photos (i.e. the ones I obviously didn't take by myself).

P.S. Have any of you ever seen We Bought a Zoo? Watched it tonight. Cried like a baby.
