Ode to Spring
It's that time of year again, folks. The time when flowers bloom, the Bravos play at Turner Field, and I get to run around barefoot in the grass with my daughter.
It's spring in Atlanta, and it's GLORIOUS.
Last night, Pierce and I got to sit in the SunTrust seats again at the Braves game and eat whatever we wanted. We were given tickets for those seats last year, too, when Lucy was just a tiny baby. It's still just as awesome as it was the first time. I also met Jeff Francour, who used to play for the Braves, and got my dad an autograph (Pierce, who sees professional football players fairly frequently as an employee of the Atlanta Falcons, gets all weird and embarrassed when I act like a fan. Hey, you married me, dude.)
For the last couple of weeks, we've been spending as much time as possible outside. Now that Lucy is a toddler who runs almost everywhere she goes, I love sitting out in the yard with her as she picks flowers, waves at the neighbors, blows bubbles, and runs wild. This stage is so much fun. Pierce and I are taking Lucy to the Atlanta Zoo for the first time this weekend and I can't wait to see how she reacts when she sees a lion or monkey. Those are her favorite animal sounds to imitate right now, so we're probably going to keel right over if she growls at a lion on Saturday. The cuteness factor is just through the roof at 18 months, you guys. Truly.
Hope you're having a great week!
